Jo Smith

Senior Researcher, MV Agroecology Research Centre

Jo has been involved in research into agroforestry as an approach to balancing production of food and fibre with protection and enhancement of the environment for the last 13 years. Previously based at the Organic Research Centre in the UK, where she explored innovative silvopastoral and silvoarable systems, she is now based in southern Portugal where the focus is on increasing resilience of agricultural systems against climate change through the implementation of agroforestry.
