I am a forester by training, with a primary research focus on plant–soil interactions. My early work explored the effects of elevated atmospheric CO₂ on tree growth and soil nutrient cycles. Agroforestry is now a major focus, with a focus on its role as a sustainable land use in the UK, Europe, and the tropics.
