Colin Tosh

Dr. Colin R. Tosh is a Senior Agroforestry Researcher at the Organic Research Centre, specializing in agroecology and sustainable farming systems. With a BSc in Animal Biology and a DPhil in Ecology, his work focuses on integrating trees into farmland to enhance biodiversity and climate resilience. He works on projects like the Agroforestry ELM Test and AGROMIX, exploring how agroforestry can mitigate environmental stressors in agriculture. Previously an academic in ecology and evolution, Dr. Tosh transitioned to applied research to address global crises in biodiversity and food security. His publications span ecological theory, pest management, and agroforestry's role in sustainable farming. Outside work, he enjoys coastal fishing, organic gardening, and writing speculative fiction.
